Ill Nino
NEW SITE CHANGES!
You may have noticed that over the past few months quiet changes have been made to the site. First we gave you new artist pages. Check out your favorite and you'll find widgets, videos, music, and much more. Plus they look great.
A few weeks back we also updated our Artists page. You'll see highlighted artists up top in blue. These change as artists are updated with news, video, and music. This is a great page to make your first port-of-call after the news section!
Today we've relaunched three other pages. Music and Video are all new. You can now embed all of our music and video posted to the site in your blog, web site, or MySpace/Facebook profiles. At the right of these pages you'll see charts driven by what YOU do on our site. You can also leave comments at all songs and videos, rate them, and favorite them in our new profile system (more on that in a sec).
The Releases page has gotten a huge makeover. Every album now has its own home page where you can see the available tracks, rate it, leave a review, or comment on others' reviews. Snazzy huh?
Finally, we just launched our new profile pages. If you're a subscriber to our email newsletters, you can log in, add your own picture, keep track of the latest updates on our site (and partner sites), follow your favorite videos and music, and tell us what bands you want to hear about.
Of course, many of these new features require that you be a member of the site to use them, so please join today!
We are, of course, in a beta phase and need your help to make the site work the best for YOU. If you see any problems or want to suggest changes to the new features, please send an email to webmaster@roadrunnerrecords.com with "NEW SITE REPORT" in the subject line. If you receive an error, please be as detailed as possible, including what page you were on, what browser you are using, and copy any error message you receive into the body of the email.
Please feel free to leave comments here below!
Cheers!
Jeremy Rosen

ILL NINO AND ROADRUNNER, MOOOOVING ON
Why did Ill Nino part ways with Roadrunner Records? What's Ill Nino going to do now? Drummer, Dave Chavarri explains:
"Ok everybody, We want to fill you in on what's presently going on with Ill Nino. Let me start by saying that the split between Roadrunner and Ill Nino was an amicable split, and that we're thankful for all the good times we had with Roadrunner in the past 5 years.
A brand new beginning for us, we're all very excited to tell everyone that we have just signed a deal with Cement Shoes/Universal. Cement shoes is the brainchild of Dan Catullo who is the founder of Coming Home Sudios (Godsmack, Rush, Marylin Manson, Matchbox 20, Usher, and others)
At the moment Ill Nino is in Los Angeles, California recording a 5 song EP with 2 brand new Ill Nino songs, and 3 cover songs, from bands that we respect and love! This 5 song EP is to be released this coming fall on Cement Shoes/Universal, just as a taste of what's to come in Spring 2007. After we finish recording and mixing this EP, we will start rehearsals for our upcoming European Festival tour that starts on August, 10th and brings us to Hungary, Czeck Republic, Poland, Holland, and Denmark.
We just want to say thanks to all of our friends and fans for always supporting Ill Nino, we would not be here if it wasn't for you!!
Peace,
Dave"

The Best Of Ill Nino
It's a Best-Of...Latin style!

One Nation Underground
Ill Nino are back with another relentless album. "Overall, this is the strongest Ill Nino album ever," says drummer Dave Chavarri, who is producing the album with Eddie Wohl (36 Crazyfists, Anthrax). "We really stepped up the Latin attitude both musically and vocally. Not only is the album bi-lingual but Cristian in particular is doing amazing. His lyrics are deeply personal while becoming more expressive than ever." With deeper subject matter that tackles what is going on in society today, the album is much angrier than the last two. "This is the most progressive and in-depth record we've ever made," adds singer Cristian Machado. "I think a lot of the youths/young adults are walking around without a sense of reality. They are being led by an immoral media who often guide you away from the truth." Deeper in every way, the band experimented with Afro-Cuban percussion and chants while making the riffs a lot more intricate. Says Machado, "We pushed each element further than ever before and pinpointed what makes Ill Nino special." In addition there will be special surprises on the album including a track with Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed. Ill Nino will hit the road in the US this July in anticipation for an August 2005 album release.
Tracks:
1.This Is War [ listen/comment ]2.My Resurrection

Live From The Eye Of The Storm DVD
The debut DVD from Ill Nino captures every aspect of their live performance (and dreadlocks). Join the mass of sweaty moshers in the eye of the storm. DVD features include: -A full concert recorded live in Pennsylvania in early 2004. -Exclusive interview footage. -A "Confessional" featurette. -All of the band's videos. -Photo gallery commemorating the last 2 years of Ill Nino.
Confession
First there was Revolution...Revolucion, which introduced the Latin-flavored sextet to the rock world. They offered something new, something different. With explosive percussive elements and Spanish-guitar undertones, the band lent a much-needed worldly element to their aggressive rock assault.
Ill Nino's new album - Confession - was produced by Bob Marlette and is a telling and open musical statement from a band that is not afraid to expand the boundaries - both sonically and geographically - of heavy music. The album is fueled by the band's patented tropical percussion, soaring riffs, alternate English and Spanish language lyrics, and an appreciation for melody.
Scary. Scary great. It truly is.

Revolution...Revolucion
From the brutal-to-melodic strains of "God Save Us", the opener on the sextet's Roadrunner debut, Revolution/Revolucion, Ill Nino make no apologies for their roots. "Most of us are South American and that comes through in our music." says front man Cristian Machado. "For us, it's how much do the beats and the guitar riffs make you move? We can't deny what's in our blood."

It used to be so fuckin awesome with a lot of my favorite (and best) bands. Who made the decision to start fucking it up by signing shit ass bands? Not even a metal label anymore........
