Demanufacture [RR 25th Anniversary Reissue]

Fear Factory never sounded better than on this landmark 1995 release. Not only did their songwriting take a huge jump up from their debut album, but Burton C. Soul Of A New Machine / Fear Is The Mindkiller (reissue)

When Roadrunner Records issued Fear Factory's "unreleased" first album, Concrete, in 2002, it marked the close of a long-incomplete chapter in the early history of this groundbreaking band. But as significant as that album was historically, it was even more important for another reason: it led Fear Factory to a deal with Roadrunner Records and the recording of their "official" debut album, Soul Of A New Machine, unleashing a new force in the world of metal. Combining both metal and industrial elements, Fear Factory laid a groundwork on Soul Of A New Machine and their subsequent remix album Fear Is The Mindkiller (also included on this expanded remaster), not only for their follow-up albums - but also for a whole new wave of bands such as Filter, Static-X and Stabbing Westward. With this newly expanded, remastered edition, you can once again experience both the sheer brutality and inescapable beauty of this prototypical metal masterpiece.

Concrete

Fear Factory may have recently passed on into heavy metal history, but the band's legacy lives on - not only in their catalog, but in the forthcoming release of their never-before heard album Concrete.

Journey back to when this SoCal metal act was just beginning...hell, back when drummer Raymond Herrera was still in high school. Recorded in 1991, just about 1 year after the band formed, this 16 song recording secured Fear Factory a deal with Roadrunner, and was the start of a very bright future for a then unknown Ross Robinson.

16 tracks in total: 8 of which were re-recorded for 1992's Soul Of A New Machine debut, 4 of which have never been heard, and 4 which later morphed into other songs.

Tells guitarist Dino Cazares, "Honestly, I think Concrete sounded better than Soul Of A New Machine. Ross is really good at capturing the moment."

Tracks:

1. Big God/Raped Souls
2. Arise Above Oppression
3. Concrete
4. Crisis

Digimortal

Fear Factory's 10 years of slow, steady progress - hard work and self-professed 'baby steps' - has brought their art to a whole new level, making their newest creation, DIGIMORTAL, one of 2001's most anticipated albums. Fear Factory provoke some serious thought and plant the seeds of their dark, brooding view of the future in the minds of their fans.
